Reckless Driving Incident Leads To Recovery Of 'Ghost Gun,' Drugs From Passenger In Maryland
A reckless driver in Maryland led to drug and weapon charges for his passenger, who was busted with a "ghost gun" during an investigation in Charles County. Port Tobacco resident Christopher Dean Allen, 30, was arrested by a patrol officer from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office who was flagged down by a local resident on Indian Head Highway regarding a reckless driver. Sheriff Investigating Fatal One-Car Crash In Maryland
Police have released the name of a 52-year-old man who was killed in a one-vehicle crash in Charles County over the holiday weekend. Nanjemoy resident John Walter Knott was killed in the crash shortly before 6:20 p.m. on Saturday, July 2 near the intersection of Poorhouse Road and Glasgow Lane in Port Tobacco, officials said on Tuesday, July 5. Upon arrival at the scene, Diane Richardson of the Charles County Sheriff's Media Relations Office said that deputies located Knott after he crashed into multiple trees.
