A fleeing suspect was captured by police in Davidsonville with a stolen handgun and large amount of drugs, authorities say.
Travis Moore, 40, was arrested after fleeing the scene following a vehicle crash in the area of Central Avenue and Patuxent River Road around 11 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 10, according to Baltimore police.
Moore was allegedly the driver of one of the involved vehicles, and fled on foot as officers approached him, prompting a chase, police said.

A Virginia man is being held without bail after he was arrested for trying to evade police officers while driving under the influence, authorities said.
Adwain Sharrier, 38, of Stafford, was charged with a DUI after leading deputies on a "low speed pursuit" in North Stafford, the Stafford County Sheriff's Office said on Facebook.

A Virginia man has died in a recent shooting in Prince George's County, authorities said.
Benjamin Ampong, 34, of Lorton, was shot and killed in the 2500 block of Corning Avenue around 1:00 p.m. on May 4, Prince George's County Police said.
Officers arrested Anthony Shaw, 31, and a 16-year-old boy, both of Washington DC, in connection with the shooting. Police were able to locate Shaw and the teen attempting to leave the area, leading to a brief pursuit, say officials.

Four Suspects Chased Down, Arrested After Firing Shots In Severn: Police
Four suspects, including a teenager, have been arrested for leading a police chase in a stolen vehicle after allegedly firing multiple shots in Severn, authorities said.
The suspects are 24-year-old Daron Savoy, of Brooklyn, 22-year-old Deonta Smith, of Annapolis, 18-year-old Keharee Sellers, also of Brooklyn, and 16-year-old Anthony Moore, also of Annapolis, who is being charged as an adult.
