18-Year-Old Bicyclist Killed By Car In Bethesda
An 18-year-old bicyclist was killed after being struck by a car in Bethesda this week, reports NBC Washington. The cyclist was struck on Old Georgetown Road near the Wildwood Shopping Center after apparently cycling into the roadway for unknown reasons around 4 p.m., Wednesday, June 1, the outlet reports. Police Cadet From DC Arrested For Alleged Gunpoint Robbery In Montgomery County: Report
A 19-year-old police cadet from DC was taken into custody following an alleged gunpoint robbery in Montgomery County, NBC Washington reports. Christian Santos and his co-defendant allegedly pulled a gun on the victim while buying a pair of Jordan sneakers before driving away on Montrose Road in March, according to the report, which cites court documents. A man from Washington DC was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison for fatally stabbing his ex-girlfriend to death with a screwdriver, the US Attorney's Office for DC said. Robert Dean, 64, stabbed 38-year-old Tamiya White in the neck in Northeast DC on March 31, 2018, the office reports. At least two people are dead and another is hospitalized after alleged opioid fentanyl overdoses at a DC jail, multiple sources report. Ramone O'Neal, 28, and Sean Lee, 37, were said to be in the same cell when they reportedly overdosed at D.C. Jail on Sunday, May 15, according to WTOP and NBC Washington. Police ID 3 Killed In Maryland Crash
Three people are dead after a head-on crash in Charles County, according to NBC Washington. The accident happened on Jan. 23 just before 8 p.m., the victims were pronounced dead at the scene of the intersection of Hawthorne Roade and Ripley way, according to Charles County Fire officials.
