New Details Released, Suspect Vehicle ID'd After I-495 Shooting In Virginia
The Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation has identified and is now looking to locate the suspect vehicle (pictured above) involved in last week's shooting incident on I-495 in Fairfax County. According to investigators, the suspect vehicle is a blue, two-door 2010 Honda Civic with Virginia license plate: TWW 9398. The incident began at approximately 4:50 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25, when state police were notified by a motorist advising that his vehicle was shot by the driver of a blue Honda as they were both traveling north on I-495 near Exit 52B for Route 236/Little River …

A 26-year-old Maryland man was arrested for leading a police pursuit across state lines into Virginia on July 4, authorities announced. Frederick Njihia fired a gun multiple times at a Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission worker and a man standing next to his truck around 9:50 a.m., bringing police to the 11300 block of Hawks Ridge Terrace in Germantown, Montgomery County police said. Truck Barrels Into 2 Men In Fatal Late Night Highway Crash In Fairfax County: Police
Two people were killed in a late night highway car crash in Fairfax County, authorities said. Police responded to the crash in the westbound lanes of I-495 near Exit 176 just after 11 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, Virginia State Police said. Initial investigation showed that a male driver and driver got out of their Toyota Corolla that had stopped in the center of the lane. Soon after, a Ford Ranger struck the vehicle and two males, according to police. Another vehicle struck one of the males later on as well. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
