Several family pets were killed when a blaze broke out inside a Charles County home on Wednesday, the Maryland Fire Marshal announced. Crews from the Naval District Washington Fire Department were called to a Bland Drive home in Indian head shortly before 1 p.m. on Oct. 11, where there was a fire that broke out in the family's living room. The 62-year-old driver who died following a fiery crash into a Gaithersburg townhome has been identified, authorities say. Police have confirmed the driver to be Victor Cascella of Gaithersburg.
