An Oxon Hill teen has been charged with manslaughter in connection to the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old boy, authorities say. Demetrius Clarke, 18, was allegedly handling the firearm in a home in the 5500 block of Livingston Terrace when it accidentally discharged, striking his 16-year-old friend shortly after 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 2, according to Prince George's County police. The victim was dropped off at a Marcy Avenue fire station after the incident and was then taken to a hospital where he later died, police said. Girl, 8, Dies After Being Found In Baltimore Basement With Gunshot Wound To Chest
An 8-year-old girl who was found in the basement of a Towson home in Baltimore County with critical injuries died after being shot, authorities announced. Officers from the Baltimore County Towson Precinct responded to the 6300 block of Sherwood Road shortly before 9: 30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 3, where there was a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers found an 8-year-old shooting victim in the basement of the home. Maryland Girl Faces Criminal Charges In Accidental Shooting Of Teenage Boy: Police
A 15-year-old girl faces manslaughter charges after shooting a 16-year-old boy in Oxon Hill, in what police believe was an accident, according to officials. The juvenile girl was handling a firearm at a home in the 4900 block of Glassmanor Drive when it discharged, striking the teenage boy at around 6:00 p.m. on Jan. 26, Prince George's County Police said. He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead a short time later. Detectives believe the shooting was an accident and are continuing their investigation.
