A former top cop in Maryland will spend more than a year with some of the people he helped locked up after attempting to dupe federal investigators amid an ongoing tax evasion scheme. Edward Scott Finn, 48, of Dunkirk, a former lieutenant with the Prince George’s County Police Department, was sentenced on Monday, May 15, to 16 months in federal prison, followed by two years of supervised release for a tax evasion charge, according to officials. A previously convicted sex offender in Maryland is facing decades in prison after admitting to recording himself sexually abusing minors over the course of more than 13 years. Baltimore resident Garnell Eugene Graves, 58, pleaded guilty in federal court to four counts of sexual exploitation of a child in relation to the sexual abuse of five minor victims, federal prosecutors announced. Feds Charge Baltimore Prosecutor With Lying On COVID Withdrawal, Mortgage Documents
A federal grand jury has charged Baltimore's top prosecutor with faking financial hardship on mortgage loan statements for two vacation homes and to make a COVID-related withdrawal from her retirement savings.
