Both drivers who struck and killed a 29-year-old pedestrian in Howard County fled the scene and are wanted for hit-and-run, police say. Zulma Maginelly Zepeda Barrientos went ping-ponging between two cars traveling in opposite directions in Elkridge over the weekend, and both drivers sped away following the fatal strike, according to investigators. Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal pedestrian crash in Palmer Park, authorities say. Jackie Monroe, 53, was attempting to cross the 8000 block of Barlowe Road when he was struck by a vehicle around 10:40 p.m., Tuesday, July 5, according to the Prince George's County Police Department. The victim of a violent fatal collision in Seat Pleasant has been identified as a 28-year-old Hyattsville man, authorities said. Jose Hernandez Chaves was killed after the driver of a pickup truck rear ended Chaves at a red light, pushing Chaves's vehicle into a third vehicle, on the 8400 block of Central Avenue around 3:45 p.m., Monday, May 23, Prince George's County Police say. The Prince George's County Police Department is investigating a fatal collision in Lanham. Gladys Addrah, 65, of Upper Marlboro was killed in the accident that happened on Dec. 31, 2021, in the 9300 block of Good Luck Road, according to police.
