Facebook Marketplace Carjacker Arrested In Fairfax County, Cops Say
A 25-year-old Maryland man has been arrested in a Virginia carjacking, police said. Rodney Hart Jr., had expressed interest in buying a vehicle two victims had listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace, and set up a meeting around 10:10 p.m. on June 5, on the 14600 block of Seasons Drive in Centreville, police in Fairfax County said. While Hart was inspecting the vehicle’s interior, he told the victims to get out, police said. The victims refused to exit the vehicle and a struggle ensued. Audi Stolen From Facebook Marketplace Vendor During Planned Meet In Anne Arundel County: Police
A test drive went wrong for a Facebook Marketplace vendor who had his Audi stolen right out from under his fingertips in Anne Arundel County, police say. An investigation has been launched by police following the robbery during a planned meet between the buyer and seller with the intention of the former purchasing a white 2011 Audi A5 2.0T Quattro Premium Couple 2 in Annapolis. Turtle Trafficker In VA Admits To Role In International Smuggling Scheme: Feds
An elaborate turtle smuggling and trafficking ring orchestrated by a Virginia man has been broken up, federal officials announced this week. Louisa resident Stanlee Fazi, 41, pleaded guilty in federal court in Alexandria to trafficking turtles out of Fredericksburg in violation of the Lacey Act, according to the Department of Justice. As part of his guilty plea, Fazi admitted that between July 2017 and June 2020, he illegally collected eastern box turtles from the wild and sold them on at least 27 occasions to buyers across the country.
