The Maryland woman who abused at least three children in her care while operating an unlicensed daycare center out of her home will have decades behind bars to think about her actions, authorities announced. Mardela Springs resident Nicole Bochenek, 46, was sentenced to 55 years in prison this week after pleading guilty in March to multiple counts of child abuse and first-degree assault. Armed, Dangerous Ex-BF Leaves Ex-GF Critical In Harford Shooting
A 42-year-old Towson man is being sought by police after they say he shot his ex-girlfriend on Tuesday, Dec. 20 in Edgewood. Jamar Wise shot the 46-year-old victim in her upper body around 5:10 p.m. on the 2800 block of Majesty Lane, the Harford County Sheriff's Office said. Deputies began life-saving efforts until EMS arrived and took the victim to a local trauma center with life threatening injuries. A Pennsylvania resident was killed in a shark attack while vacationing in The Bahamas, authorities said. The 58-year-old woman was snorkeling with her family when a bull shark bit her in the waters near Green Cay just before 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, Chief Superintendent Chrislyn Skippings said during a press conference. DC Firefighters Catch Baby Dropped From 2nd Story Window
An infant dropped form a second-story window in a fire Sunday, May 29 was caught by Washington DC firefighters. The baby was dropped as flames ravaged a home on the 700 block of Alabama Ave. Two adults and a child were brought safely down a ladder. Seven residents were evaluated by EMS but did not require hospitalization.

New Jersey State Police bear no responsibility for the death of a diabetic Paterson driver who had a medical episode in the back of their cruiser following a traffic stop outside their barracks, a state grand jury has found.
