A Brooklyn man is facing charges after allegedly scamming a 75-year-old Bethesda couple out of over $400,000 through a gold bar scheme, Montgomery County police announced. Suspects At Large After Accidental Shooting Kills Elderly Woman In Maryland
A massive reward is being offered in connection to the shooting of an elderly woman in Lanham, authorities say. Deborah Armstrong, 71, has been identified as the victim in the shooting that occurred shortly after 9 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 18 in the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Highway and Business Parkway, according to Prince George's County police. Police are asking for the public's help locating a critically missing 66-year-old man who disappeared in DC, authorities say. Gilbert Turner, was last seen in the 2100 block of R Street, Southeast, on Thursday, Aug. 11, according to DC police. Turner is described as a black male with a medium complexion, police said. Baltimore City Police are seeking the public's help in locating a missing elderly man from the city, the Maryland Center for Missing and Unidentified Persons (MCMUP) said on Facebook. A hypothermia alert has been issued for Montgomery County starting at 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28. It will last until 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1.
