The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office has launched a death investigation at an area elementary school after an employee was found dead, according to officials. Shortly after 10 p.m. on Tuesday night, deputies from the sheriff's office responded to Lettie Marshall Dent Elementary School in Mechanicsville for a death investigation. A pair of armed robbers are at large after targeting an Anne Arundel gas station early on Wednesday, Jan. 3, according to police. Anne Arundel County Police responded to the Citgo on Ridge Road in Hanover to investigate reports of a robbery around 5:30 a.m., the department said.
