Samuel Wise will have decades to think about his decision to murder a beloved restaurant manager in Little Italy last winter, the Baltimore City State's Attorney's Office announced on Monday. The man who killed a woman who was eight months pregnant with his child in Maryland will likely spend the rest of his life in prison. Michael Robertson was found guilty of all charges for the murder of 22-year-old Akia Shawnta Eggleston and her unborn child in 2017 and now faces two life sentences when he is scheduled to be sentenced in October. Robertson was the father of the soon-to-be born child. The Maryland Court of Appeals has reinstated a murder conviction for a man who helped kill two high school students, authorities say. Rony Galicia, 30, of Boyds, was involved in the murder of Shadj Ali Najjar, 17, and Artem Ziberoy, 18, the night before their graduation from Northwest High in June 2017, according to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office. A New Jersey homicide with Virginia ties will be detailed in a new Lifetime movie, set for release later this year. "Suitcase Killer: The Melanie McGuire Story," premiers June 18. A New Jersey-based political consultant admitted Tuesday that he hired two hitmen to kill a longtime associate from Hudson County who had worked for him on various election campaigns, federal authorities said.
