A circuit court judge in Maryland has ruled that all proceedings tied to the release of Attorney General Brian Frosh's report depicting accusations of sexual abuse of hundreds of underage victims by members of the Archdiocese of Baltimore be sealed. Despite coming out publicly saying they will not oppose the release of Maryland AG Brian Frosh’s 463-page report depicting the sexual abuse of hundreds of victims, the Archdiocese of Baltimore is reportedly paying legal fees to a group seeking to do just that, according to a new WBAL report. Arsonists Set Fire To Maryland Church In Dead Of Night, Officials Say
A fire that broke out in the middle of the night at a Montgomery County church is being probed as arson, officials said. Firefighters were called to the Saint Jane de Chantal Church on Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda sometime after 2:30 a.m., for a fire in the main church, MoCo Fire and Rescue spokesman Pete Piringer said. NJ Catholic Diocese Agrees To Pay Record $87.5M Cash Settlement To 300 Child Sex Abuse Victims
The Catholic Diocese of Camden has agreed to pay an unprecedented $87.5 million -- in cash – to 300 survivors of child sex abuse. The average payment to each of the survivors comes to roughly $290,000, plus whatever is later obtained from the southern New Jersey's diocese’s insurance companies, under the proposed bankruptcy settlement.
