A manhole fire caused chaos for some in Baltimore as crews battled an unexpected blaze that broke out on Sunday morning. At around 5 a.m. on Sept. 29, crews were called to the 300 block of North Charles Street, where there was a reported fire inside a manhole with flames showing near the intersection of Pleasant Street. Thousands in Maryland are still reported power outages following weekend storms that swept through the region and caused chaos for some. On Monday, Aug. 5, Baltimore Gas and Electric was reporting that 6,457 residents or business were still without power out of their 1.333 million customers as crews continue to work around the clock to repair 542 active outages. The bodies of two construction workers were reportedly recovered from the site of the Francis Scot Key Bridge collapse in Baltimore Wednesday, March 27, according to state police and multiple reports.
