Woman Injured On Cruise Ship Airlifted To Safety By Maryland State Police
Maryland State Police made a daring rescue on Sunday night after a 68-year-old woman was injured when she fell on a cruise ship in Chesapeake Bay that was bound for the Bahamas. A state police helicopter was called in by the US Coast Guard in Baltimore at approximately 10 p.m. on Sunday, April 16, to come to the aid of the woman, who suffered injuries less than five hours into their trip on the 960-foot Carnival Legend ship.
