Dozens of arrests have been made in an effort to dismantle transnational criminal organizations responsible for drug trafficking throughout Maryland, authorities say. As a part of the American Governors' Border Strike Force, authorities, including members of the Maryland State Police Department, made 27 arrests from Monday, Aug. 15 to Sunday, Aug. 21 after identifying major supplier routes throughout Baltimore City, according to the agency. A pair of convicted felons prohibited from possessing firearms are facing new charges after being busted with a handgun and random drugs during a traffic stop in Maryland. Members Of Congress Arrested During Protest That Stopped Traffic In DC
A protest demonstration that stopped traffic on a Washington D.C. street resulted in the arrest of 35 people, including 17 Members of Congress, authorities say. Demonstrators began blocking traffic on First Street NE shortly after 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 19, according to US Capitol Police. The agency stated they would give a standard three warnings to protestors to stop blocking the traffic before issuing arrests. Man Waving Handgun Arrested In Anne Arundel: Police
A Pasadena man was arrested after waving a handgun around in Glen Burie, authorities say. Officers arrested Paul Robert Bond Jr., 32, after responding to reports of a man waving a gun around and attempting to enter a vehicle on the 100 block of Warwickshire Lane around 5:00 p.m. Thursday, May 5, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
