Pedestrian Dies Months After Prince George’s County Hit-And-Run: Police
A pedestrian involved in a hit-and-run crash more than two months ago has died from his injuries, police said. Tyrone Tyson, 82, was hospitalized after being struck by a driver while crossing the road near Annapolis Road and 68th Avenue in Landover Hills on Thursday, Jan. 25, PGPD said. Tyson, of Hyattsville, died from his injuries on Saturday, March 30. The driver did not remain on the scene but has since been identified, according to police. One robbery suspect has been taken into custody and a second remains at large following an incident at a convenience store in Prince George's County, police say. Bladensburg resident Lamont Wilks, 52, has been identified and charged in connection to a robbery last month inside a store in the 6600 block of Annapolis Road in Landover Hills. Police say that a 47-year-old homeless man has been apprehended for a murder in Prince George’s County earlier this week. Andrew Dougal, who has no fixed addrsss, has been charged with the murder of 31-year-old Langley Sloan on Wednesday, May 24 in Landover Hills, according to the Prince George’s County Police Department. Police have identified the 66-year-old Hyattsville man killed in a crash in Landover Hills. Officers were called to the area of Annapolis Road and Cooper Lane to investigate a two-vehicle crash that killed Michael Ray Sr. around 5:15 p.m., Wednesday, April 5. Investigators say that Ray was driving east on Annapolis Road when he was struck by a westbound vehicle as he attempted to turn onto Cooper Road. Laurel Man Struck By Vehicle On Landover Hills Street
Police have identified a man who was killed while walking on a Landover Hills street. Zelalem Yirga Adamu, 40, was reportedly struck around 1 a.m., Sunday, March 26 in the 6600 block of Annapolis Road, according to the Prince George's County Police Department. Investigators say that the driver of the striking vehicle was traveling west when he struck Adamu in the roadway, killing him. The driver and the passenger of the striking vehicle were not injured in the crash.

Several teenage boys were arrested after two armed carjackings that took place just days before Christmas in Prince George's County, authorities say.
