Newly released police camera body footage captures deputies with the Warren County Sheriff's Office slamming a 77-year-old man to the ground during his arrest. Authorities originally said that Ralph Ennis "fell over" when deputies arrested him for reckless driving in Fort Royal, Virginia in April. Virginia Deputies Under Investigation In Connection With 77-Year-Old's Death
Authorities are investigating whether police properly handled a situation after a Virginia man died from his injuries sustained during an arrest last month. Virginia State Police are investigating the death of 77-year-old Ralph Ennis, of Gainesville, and the response of deputies from the Warren County Sheriff's Office, WTOP reports. Human Remains Identified As Missing Maryland Woman
Human remains found last April have been positively identified as those of a Maryland woman who went missing in 2018. The remains of Brenda Lee Hopkins were discovered near Route 29 and New Hampshire Avenue off of the highway in a small, wooded area on April 15 in Silver Spring, the Montgomery County Police Department said. Hopkins, 68, had been missing since August 2018. It's believed that Hopkins may have suffered from Alzheimer’s and wandered away from her home in the 11700 block of Eden Road.
