Angela Alsobrooks Projected To Win Historic Senate Race Over Former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan The hotly-anticipated Maryland Senate race between Prince George's County Executive Angela Alsobrooks and former Gov. Larry Hogan ended with the state staying Blue and making history.  Alsobrooks is projected to take the Senate seat following Sen. Ben Cardin's announcement that he would not run for another term and vacated the position.  The win was called by the Associated Press, FOX, The Hill, and several other outlets. Maryland Gov.
