A 3-year-old boy was found shot inside a Maryland home in what is believed to be an accidental shooting involving an unsecured handgun on Monday, police say. An investigation has been launched by the Howard County Police Department following the fatal shooting, which was reported inside a home on Harpers Ferry Road in Columbia on July 1. At the time the child was struck, his parents and 5-year-old brother were home at the time. Teen Accidentally Shot Near Maryland High School, Police Say
A teen was shot overnight near Towson High School in Baltimore County when a gun went off, police confirmed. At approximately 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday night, Baltimore County Police officers were called to an area hospital, when a 16-year-old walked in suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. Investigators say that it was later determined that the shooting happened in the unit block of Cedar Avenue, not far from the school. Police are searching for a suspect accused of firing shots while adjusting his pants in the food court area of the Arundel Mills Mall over the weekend, authorities say. 9-Year-Old Boy Playing With Gun In Maryland Fatally Shoots Teen: Police
A 9-year-old boy has been identified as the suspect that accidentally fatally shot a teenage girl in the head, officials say. The boy was allegedly playing with the loaded handgun when it accidentally discharged, striking and killing Nykayla Strawder, 15, in the 600 block of Linnard Street on Saturday, Aug. 6, according to Baltimore police. The 9-year-old dropped the gun and ran from the scene after the shooting.
