Investigators from the agency were called around 2 p.m. to the 1900 block of Copeland Street to investigate reports of a shooting that left one dead.
In an effort to avoid the shooting scene and allow police to investigate, an Annapolis Department spokesperson said that school buses were redirected to Bywater Street and Copeland Street, where parents could meet their kids and walk them home.
Police stressed that there was no threat to the public. No additional information was initially provided.
