Officers responded to a call of a "juvenile problem" at the Westfield Annapolis Mall around 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 12, according to Anne Arundel County police.
Investigation revealed that a group of seven boys, aged 11-16 approached a group of three boys and asked to "see" one of the victim's sunglasses.
The victim handed one of the suspects his sunglasses, and the suspects immediately ran off, they said. When the victim chased after the suspects, the suspects began shooting the victim with BB guns.
The victim was struck several times resulting in minor injuries.
Police searched inside and outside of the mall but did not locate the suspects.
The suspects are described as seven black males, between the ages of 11-16 years old. The suspect who stole the sunglasses is described as 14-16 years old and was last seen wearing all black clothing.
