Delonta Lewis Hill, 23, of Brooklyn Park, was said to be speeding down Route 100 when he failed to negotiate a turn and was thrown off his motorcycle at the I-97 overpass, Anne Arundel County Police said.

Officers responded to the seen shortly after 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22. Investigators initially believed that Hill failed to stay in one lane before losing control of his motorcycle, police said.

Hill was taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center with life-threatening injuries and later died, police said.

"Rip Delonta Lewis Hill," one person wrote on Facebook. "So sad a lot of the people in these comments have no respect for someone’s life who was just lost. They will never understand until it happens to a loved one or a friend of theirs."

Several people were said to have witnessed the crash, which is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 410-222-8573 or text tips to 410-222-4700.
