Anne Arundel Police Sgt. Matt Hall was flagged down by several concerned citizens when he was on patrol along Friendship Road near Kim Lane after a buck found itself stuck in a nearby fence line.

Hall was able to respond to the scene, where he was met by a young buck who had his antlers intertwined in the fence and couldn't shake loose.

The sergeant worked to finagle the spooked deer and wrestled it out of its tough spot, constantly asking that the buck “relax,” before he was able to free the exhausted animal, which didn't take its time to say "thanks" before it ran off into a field to go take a well-deserved breather.

“I pushed his antlers up in there,” Hall said when prompted by a passerby about what had happened, to which the latter responded in kind by simply saying “you’re the man.”
