Fireworks Confiscated From Fiery I-270 Crash Scene In Maryland, Officials Say
The investigation into a vehicle fire on I-270 early on the Fourth of July led to the recovery of fireworks in Montgomery County, officials say. First responders were called to a stretch of the southbound lanes of the interstate at around 4 a.m. near Montrose Road in Rockville, where there was a reported crash involving two vehicles, one of which was fully engulfed in flames. Two people were killed and one other injured in a three-vehicle crash on I-270 in Montgomery County that blocked several lanes early on Friday morning, officials say.
