An ex-con from Washington DC has been convicted of shooting a transgender victim following a sexual act, federal authorities announced. Jerry Tyree, who has previous weapon and drug convictions in Maryland and the District, was found guilty by a Superior Court jury of aggravated assault while armed for shooting his victim in November last year in Northeast DC. A 20-year-old Baltimore County woman was arrested on Friday morning and charged for her role using spray paint in July to deface federal property at Columbus Circle outside Union Station in Northeast DC, federal authorities announced. A wanted man who allegedly shot a father and his 5-year-old daughter earlier this year has been charged, federal authorities announced on Thursday. District resident Alante Partlow, 29, was charged in Superior Court with assault and other offenses following the April shooting in Northeast DC, according to officials.
