Sorie Mansaray Sentenced For Attempted Murder In Maryland
A 20-year-old man will spend more than a decade in prison following a midday shooting in Maryland in one of Montgomery County's busiest roads, authorities announced on Wednesday. Sorie Mansaray, who has no known address, was sentenced on July 17 to 30 years in prison with all but 12 years suspended following a July 2022 shooting that was caught on camera. On July 22, 2022, prosecutors say that Mansaray shot at a vehicle that pulled onto the 11000 block of New Hampshire Avenue in Silver Spring, striking and injuring a passenger in the vehicle. A 21-year-old man is facing a lifetime in prison for an Easter Sunday shooting last year in Montgomery County, authorities announced. Baltimore resident Kaleab Berhanu has been found guilty following a six-day trial for his role in the murder of 20-year-old Carlos Carter, who was gunned down while he slept . Deon Watkins will never see the light of day again after a judge sentenced him to two life sentences without the possibility of parole for murdering a pair of women in Maryland, the Charles County State's Attorney's Office announced. A 31-year-old gunman abducted a baby and fled in his victim's car after shooting her and leaving her to die in a Christmas attack, authorities in Baltimore County said. Dariel Williams allegedly shot the woman on Joggins Court in Bowley's Quarters, then stole her car and took a 1-year-old boy with him sometime after 11 p.m., county police said.
