Virginia Man Killed After Disabled Car Smashed By Speeding Driver On I-395: State Police
A Virginia man was killed when his disabled car was slammed by a speeding driver on I-395, state police said.
Virginia State Police said the crash happened around 2:20 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, in the southbound lanes of the interstate in Alexandria, near the three-mile marker.
According to investigators, a 2008 Toyota Corolla crashed and became disabled in the roadway.
Moments later, police said, a 2021 Hyundai Venue traveling southbound at a high rate of speed struck the Corolla.

Police have announced the arrest of a Baltimore County driver in connection with a massive illegal car meetup where drivers antagonized officers in Fairfax County.
Brandon Extecoc Santos, 20, of Parkville, was arrested on Friday, April 19, in connection with the "street takeover" Easter Sunday, Fairfax County police announced.

A pair of suspects from Virginia and Maryland became the 869th and 870th insurrectionists to be arrested and charged for their roles in the Jan. 6 riot at the US Capitol last year.
Springfield, Virginia resident Joseph Brody, 23, and Halethorpe, Maryland resident Paul Ewald Lovley, 23, were among five to be arrested by investigators, the Department of Justice announced on Wednesday, Sept. 21.

$3,000 Worth Of Merchandise Reportedly Stolen From Fairfax Ulta (Update)
Two suspects allegedly stole $3,000 worth of merchandise from an Ulta store in Fairfax County, unconfirmed reports and authorities said.
Police responded to the robbery at the store, located at 6575 Frontier Drive in Springfield, just after 9 p.m. on Friday, May 27, Fairfax County Police said.
The two suspects, both described as males, confronted store employees and one of them displayed a gun before fleeing the scene, police said. No injuries were reported.
They were last seen running on foot. The investigation is ongoing.
