Lights OUT: 75,000 Maryland Residents Lose Power More than 75,000 power outages have been reported in Maryland due to the wintry weather, according to the Maryland Department of Emergency Management. The current number of outages is 75,875 but that number is expected to grow as the snow continues to fall. The snow has also cancelled hundreds of flights and closed dozens of schools in the state.

A total of 190 flights have been canceled into or out of BWI and another 84 flights have been delayed. BWI is encouraging all fliers to confirm flight status with your airline prior to heading to the airport.
