Improperly Disposed Smoking Materials Possibly To Blame For Montgomery County Garage Fire The cause of a massive fire that tore through a Montgomery County garage and damaged a home has been determined to possibly be improperly disposed smoking materials, investigators say. Late on Friday afternoon, first responders were called to the 13600 block of Cherrydale Drive near Glenn Mill Road in Rockville, where there was a reported fire in a garage that spread to an area home. ID Released For Victim Killed In Baltimore County House Fire Police have released the identity of the woman killed in a pre-dawn house fire in Baltimore County Monday, March 18. Baltimore County Firefighters responded to the blaze at a home on the 3100 block of Shortway in Dundalk around 2:30 a.m. and found Barbara Spokus, 70, dead in the living room, police said Tuesday.
