A Montgomery County community is in mourning after a beloved middle school student died after suffering a traumatic brain injury when he was struck by a car. On Tuesday, May 9, 14-year-old Elijah Wright was walking home with a friend when he was struck by a car crossing Wisteria Drive in Germantown near Seneca Valley High School. First responders rushed the teen to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, which he never recovered from. Water Main Break Sends Montgomery County Public School Students Home Early
Several Montgomery County schools closed after a water main break in Germantown, reports My Montgomery Community Media. Northwest and Seneca Valley High Schools dismissed students at 11:30 a.m., while Great Seneca Creek and Clopper Mill elementary schools closed at 12:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 16 continues the outlet. Emergency repairs are being made to a 24-inch water main on Clopper Road after the main broke, causing water service interruption to the area.
