PA Robber, Child Rapist Nabbed By US Marshals In MD Found Dead In Cell
A robber — who was caught by US Marshals in Northern Maryland in July 2023 — has died in prison while serving time for raping a child, the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections announced on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024. New Forecast: Increased Snowfall Totals Expected, Arctic Temps To Follow Northeast Storm
Newly-released forecast maps show parts of the region could see up to six inches of snow in the end-of-week storm. Intermittent snow is expected to begin between 4 and 7 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, with the heaviest amounts falling in the afternoon, the National Weather Service said. Snow will fall at about 0.5 inches per hour and will taper by the evening, with temps in the upper 20s and low 30s, the NWS said. A multi-agency investigation in Frederick County led to the downfall of a drug trafficking organization, authorities announced on Friday. Last month, three people were arrested as part of a wide-ranging inquiry into a large-scale trafficking organization operating in Northern Maryland in the areas of Frederick and Washington counties. Traffic was tied up temporarily on I-95 on Monday morning following a crash that left several lanes blocked in Northern Maryland. Truck thieves in Northern Maryland seemingly destroyed any evidence after stealing a pick-up in Delaware and bringing it across state lines. A garbage truck driver was killed after being struck by another man while on the job in Northern Maryland, state police say. Jose Gomes, 55, of Hagerstown, died at Frederick Health Hospital after he was struck by Oxon Hill resident Osman Perez Mollo's Subaru while he was picking up garbage cans on Green Valley Road in Clarksburg early on Wednesday morning.
