A deadly dispute on a Baltimore bus has ended with an arrest, police say. Following a near two-week investigation into the fatal incident, a 61-year-old Baltimore man is in custody after allegedly shooting and killing a passenger during an argument on a bus in the Central District, according to city police. James Richburg was arrested Monday, Dec. 9, while riding an MTA bus in the 1600 block of North Fulton Avenue, a spokesperson for the Baltimore Police Department said. An 18-year-old wanted in connection to the fatal stabbing of a teen boy on an MTA bus on Wednesday has been charged, according to the Baltimore Police Department. City resident Brandon Lee Adams, Jr. has been arrested and accused of the murder of Cortez Lemon during an altercation on a Mass Transit bus in the 4200 block of Frankford Avenue on Wednesday. The man accused of killing a MTA bus driver back in October 2022 has been found and arrested in Atlanta, Georgia, authorities say. Leon Hill was located by detectives in Atlanta on Thursday, Jan. 12, after being accused of killing 40-year-old Elaine Jackson on Oct. 18, 2022, according to Baltimore police. Jackson was on her way to work when she was allegedly gunned down by Hill after a difficult breakup. Police ID MTA Bus Driver Gunned Down On Her Way To Work In Maryland
Baltimore City Police have identified the MTA bus driver who was killed earlier this week near Carroll Park in Southwest Baltimore. Elaine Jackson, 40, was found with multiple gunshot wounds shortly after 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18 in the 1500 block of Washington Boulevard as she was reportedly making her way to work. Upon arrival at the scene, police say that officers located Jackson, who was transported to the University of Maryland’s Shock Trauma, where she died of her injuries later on Tuesday. MTA Bus Driver Killer Sentenced Without Parole
A 25-year-old man who pleaded guilty to the 2020 murder of MTA bus driver Marcus Parks Sr., was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole Thursday, May 5, announced officials. Cameron Silcott got into an argument with the bus driver after Parks told him passengers were not allowed on the bus. Silcott stole Parks's bag, CBS13 reports.
