A District man will spend decades in prison after pleading guilty mid-trial for an attempted murder that was caught on camera in Maryland, authorities announced. The 22-year-old saw the writing on the wall and admitted his guilt in the middle of a jury trial earlier this year in connection to his role in a shooting in a well-known Silver Spring alleyway following a wild chase in June 2022, according to the Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office. One of three suspects was identified and arrested almost two months after an armed carjacking in Montgomery County, police said. The incident occurred near Thayer Avenue and Mayor Lane in Silver Spring around 4:20 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 5, MCPD said. Three suspects were armed with handguns with blue lasers and an assault rifle when they exited a white Audi SQ5 and approached two victims who were inside a vehicle. Maryland Man Charged With Attempted Murder In Fender Bender Shooting
The 29-year-old man accused of attempted murder in a shooting over a fender bender dispute in Silver Spring has been taken into custody, authorities confirmed. John Tomlinson was identified as the suspect in a shooting that occurred near Thayer Avenue and Mayor Lane just before 2:15 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 13, the Montgomery County Police Department said.
