Driver Who Dragged Police Officer During Maryland Traffic Stop Gets Max Prison Sentence
The man who seriously injured a Baltimore Police officer he dragged for several blocks while he was hanging on to his vehicle was handed a harsh sentence, authorities announced on Wednesday. Joseph Daniel Black, who dragged Sgt. Kenneth Ramberg during a vehicle stop in 2022 has been sentenced to 10 years in prison, the maximum sentenced allowed by law. A 32-year-old District man wanted on multiple open warrants in Prince George's County was apprehended in Prince Frederick on Tuesday, authorities announced. A 39-year-old man reportedly responsible for a fatal stabbing in Prince George's County has been identified and apprehended, police say. College Park resident Francisco Ayala Alvarenga is facing multiple murder charges in connection to a stabbing that was reported in Beltsville earlier this week.
