Multiple vehicles were destroyed when a garage fire broke out in Maryland, authorities announced. In Allegany County, officers from the LaVale Volunteer Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire on Vocke Road shortly before 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6, officials said. A Maryland family got an unwelcome wake-up call on Friday morning when they were alerted to a large attic fire that caused upwards of $250,000 in damage, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal. Grant Drive homeowners in LaVale heard a smoke detector going off shortly after 1:15 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 26, when a fast-moving fire was sparked in their attic space, officials said. An RV suffered extensive damage in Maryland when an electrical fire rapidly spread through the vehicle after sparking in Allegany County. Members of the LaVale Volunteer Fire Department responded to the 12700 block of Gramlich Road in Cumberland at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, when there was a reported vehicle fire that randomly broke out.
