Elderly Woman Dies After Accidental Severn House Fire (Update) An elderly woman has died after being rescued from a fire at her Severn home, fire officials said.  Joann Marie Smith, 75, was in cardiac arrest when crews pulled her from her home, located at 8289 Portsmouth Drive, around 6:17 p.m. on Monday, April 11, Anne Arundel County Fire Department said.  She later died at Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital on Thursday, the department said. The cause of the fire was ruled accidental but the cause is undetermined, the department said.  Smith's death is the third fire-related death in Anne Arundel County in 202…
