What We Know About The Wheaton Jewelry Store Collision
Drivers in Wheaton were delayed this morning after a bus crashed into a jewelry store, authorities say. A Metro bus collided with the store in the area of Viers Mill Road and University Boulevard East around 9:30 a.m., Thursday, March 2, according to a Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesperson. Four Injured, One Killed In Separate Baltimore Shootings During Violent Night, Police Say
Five people were shot - one fatally in Baltimore over the course of less than 90 minutes overnight as violence in the city continues to cause concerns in the community. The busy night for police began shortly after 11 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, when officers were called to the 1500 block of Medford Road to investigate a reported shooting in the area. One person was hospitalized in Maryland overnight in Carroll County when a fast-moving fire broke out in a Sykesville garage. First responders were called at approximately 8:20 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 2, to the 6100 block of Frontier Road, when a resident reported a fire that had broken out in an attached garage and spread to an attic. A man is recovering after being beaten in the head with a baseball bat in Brooklyn Park, authorities say. A 2-year-old boy found unconscious outside of a Washington DC apartment may have been physically abused, NBC Washington reports citing authorities and sources. A school bus was involved in a multi-vehicle crash that tied up traffic for hours on a busy Baltimore County roadway. Shortly after 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 3, officers from the Baltimore County Police Department's Essex precinct responded to a stretch of Eastern Boulevard near Bengies Road, where there was a reported crash involving several vehicles. At Least One Injured In Early Morning Rockville Basement Fire
At least one person is injured following an early morning basement fire in Rockville, authorities say. Firefighters arrived to the home in the 11700 block of Rocking Horse Road after reports of a fire in a single family home, around 6 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 13, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue. Teenager Rushed To Hospital Following Overnight Baltimore Shooting
A teenage boy was rushed to a hospital after an overnight shooting in Baltimore, authorities say. Officers located the 18-year-old victim just before 3 a.m., Friday, Aug. 26 in the 5300 block of Plainfield Avenue after responding to reports of a shooting, according to Baltimore police. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Senior Living Apartment Fire In Baltimore County Sends One To Hospital
An apartment fire at a senior living apartment in Baltimore County has sent one person to the hospital, authorities say. Firefighters responded to the scene on Clay Lodge Lane in Catonsville where they discovered the fire in a third-floor apartment shortly before 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 23, according to Baltimore County Fire officials. The fire was controlled by 9:45 a.m., officials say. The person inside of the apartment was evaluated by medics and transported to a hospital with reported burn injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
