In Elkton, crews were called to Mallard Court at around 12:45 a.m. on Sunday morning, to battle a blaze that broke out in the back of a property and spread to two neighboring homes. The fire caused an estimated $500,000 in damages, and left 10 people displaced who are being assisted by friends and the American Red Cross. Police ID Homeless Man Found Dead With Traumatic Injuries In Maryland Police in Prince George's County are still attempting to locate a suspect who killed a 33-year-old homeless man on Sunday morning. Investigators have identified Chuck Deonte Jenkins, who has no fixed address, as the person found dead suffering from traumatic injuries at approximately 3:30 a.m. in the 5100 block of Indian Head Highway during a welfare check. Hypothermia Alert Issued In This Maryland County For Monday Night A hypothermia alert has been issued for Montgomery County starting at 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28. It will last until 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1. The alert is issued whenever temperatures and/or wind chill are expected to be at or below 32 degrees. In these situations, people could become exposed to hyperthermia or frostbite very easily.
