A multi-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer that leaked fuel onto I-270 tied up traffic on Tuesday afternoon in Montgomery County. In advance of the evening commute in Gaithersburg, several northbound lanes were blocked on Oct. 22 when a truck was involved n a multi-vehicle crash that resulted in fuel being spilled onto the roadway. Shortly before 2:40 p.m. on Friday, June 21, officers were called to the area of Old Gunpowder Road and Sinope Way in Beltsville, where there was a reported crash that left one person dead and a second trapped. Some residents in Montgomery County were evacuated on Thursday morning when a troublesome gas leak was reported outside an area home. An alert was issued at approximately 11 a.m. on June 6 when HazMat units were called to the 5600 block of Spruce Tree Avenue in Bethesda when a two-inch gas line was struck in front of a residence, officials said.
