Bowie resident Jakel Stone, 34, leaves behind a teen son after he was shot to death in Landover over the holiday weekend. According to the Prince George's County Police Department, officers were called on Saturday, Aug. 31, where they found Stone in the 6900 block of Hawthorne Street suffering from gunshot wounds in a parking lot. Early Morning Fire Destroys Landover Home A residential fire destroyed a Landover home on Thursday morning, officials say. Firefighters were called to a home in the 6700 block of Hawthorne Street on the morning of Thursday, Feb. 23, according to a Prince George's County Fire Department spokesperson.
