Fingerprints Lead Officers To Burglar Wanted For Months In Maryland, Police Say
Fingerprints led investigators to a man who broke into a mobile phone shop in Montgomery County months ago, police said.
The burglary occurred around 4 a.m. at the Cricket Wireless store in the 11300 block of Georgia Avenue in Wheaton on Friday, Nov. 17, Montgomery County Police said in a Monday release. Mukhtar Ali Mohamed, 27, allegedly broke into the store, stole merchandise and left.

Silver Spring Gunman Accused Of Killing Teen Nabbed In Metro Station: Police
A 20-year-old Silver Spring man has been charged in a Wheaton shooting that left a 17-year-old victim dead, authorities announced.
Cardel Chaney is accused of gunning down Devin Dickey, of Silver Spring, near Georgia Avenue and Reedie Drive around 6:45 p.m. on Friday, March 4, Montgomery County police said.
Officers found Dickey at the scene with a gunshot wound, and he was transported to an area hospital, where he died.

Maryland Pair Kidnapped Woman From Restaurant, Left Her Beaten Body On Roadside: Police
A pair of Maryland man have been arrested for kidnapping and assaulting a victim, authorities said.
Javier Antonio Ortiz and Edwin Manuel Reyes, both 22 of Hyattsville, convinced the woman to leave the Unplugged Restaurant and Sports Bar, located on Georgia Avenue in Wheaton with them on Feb. 5, Montgomery County police said.
The victim, who knew the men, got in their car and, once inside, was beaten and threatened with a handgun when she tried to get out, police said.
