A shoplifting stop in Virginia turned violent when a handcuffed suspect spat on arresting officers, biting one so hard his finger broke, police said. The company — the world’s second-largest healthcare provider — announced the move to stockholders late last week as part of an enterprise-wide restructuring plan.
