Church Burglar Caught On Camera Wanted In Maryland: Police
A thief stealing copper pipes is at large in Montgomery County after being caught on camera robbing a church in Chevy Chase, police say. An alert was issued and photo released on Friday morning following an incident that was reported in April at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the 5400 block of Western Avenue. 'Significant' Gas Leak Shuts Down Busy Roads In Northeast DC
DC Fire and EMS personnel were busy on Thursday afternoon after a construction crew hit a high-pressure gas line in Northeast, leading to a "significant" leak in the area. At around 11:15 a.m. on March 21, firefighters were called to New York and Florida Avenue NE, where a gas line was struck and spread to an adjacent building, officials said. A contractor in downtown DC found himself in a perilous position after suffering an injury while working on the roof of a building on Tuesday morning. It was DC Fire and EMS personnel to the rescue on Jan. 23 when they were called into action at around 8 a.m. in the 600 block of Park Road NW, requiring them to get creative with a construction crane. Gas Leak In Montgomery County Blocks Off Neighborhood After Construction Crews Damage Line
A natural gas leak is being tended to after a construction crew struck a gas line in Montgomery County, authorities say. Officials responded to the leak at 3020 Hewitt Avenue after reports that it had been damaged by the crew the morning of Thursday, Sept. 8, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesperson Pete Piringer.
