Customers Charged With Killing Employee Over Payment Dispute In Maryland: Police
Tipsters helped lead the Prince George's County Police Department to two men who were wanted in connection to a fatal shooting at an area tire shop last month. Capitol Heights resident Ronnell Hardy, 43, and 42-year-old Avery Eccles, of Upper Marlboro have been been charged for their roles in the murder of Anthony Okoye in September. Officers were called to the 7100 block of Old Landover Road at around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning to investigate a reported shooting, and further investigation led to the grisly discovery of a dead body inside a vehicle in the 7400 block. The Baltimore Police Department has identified the 52-year-old man who was killed after being struck by two vehicles crossing the road. Jose Rivas was attempting to cross Liberty Road in the area of Brubar Court in Gwynn Oak on Friday night, when he was struck by both a 2014 Dodge Ram and a 2017 Nissan Altima. Residents Rescued From Roof Of Maryland House Fire
Some residents had to be rescued in Washington County on Saturday morning when a house fire broke out in Hagerstown, officials say. Crews were called shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 19 to the 200 block of Prospect Avenue where there was a smoke detector that activated inside an area row home.
