Tiffany Zhang, 29, has been arrested and charged in connection to the death of her mother, Guichun Hu, whose body was found in a grassy field in the 19400 block of Olive Tree Way in Gaithersburg.

According to police, shortly before 10 a.m. on Nov. 4, the Emergency Communications Center received a call from Zhang advising that she had killed her mother the previous day.

Upon arrival, officers were met by Zhang waiting outside near Hu's body. She was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.

Zu's body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy scheduled for Tuesday to determined the exact cause and manner of death. Zhang was arrested without incident and charged with first-degree murder.
