Some employees and patrons at a Montgomery County Papa Johns Pizza restaurant got more than they ordered on Thursday night when a vehicle came crashing through the side of the building.
At approximately 10 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service personnel were called to the pizza joint in the 15100 block of Frederick Avenue near College Parkway in Rockville to investigate the reported crash, a spokesperson for the agency said.
Members of the Montgomery County Department of Police and the Rockville City Police Department were both called to the scene to investigate, and the building inspector was advised of the crash, which left the building with heavy damage.
No serious injuries were reported. It is unclear what caused the driver to crash into the building.
