Person 'Clinging To Rock' In Potomac River Rescued In Montgomery County Multiple agencies worked together on Wednesday morning to rescue a person who found themselves in a perilous position in the Potomac River. Early on Aug. 7, US Park Police and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue personnel teamed up to make a water rescue after a swimmer got stuck. Jedaiah Silvanus-Lim, of Silver Springs, Maryland, was with "a small group of young people" who had been on a walk at the park when they decided to go for a swim on Tuesday, June 14, the coroner's release states.
