After nearly five decades, Ben & Jerry's co-founder Jerry Greenfield has resigned, saying the popular ice cream company has been silenced politically under its corporate ownership. Greenfield's resignation letter was posted on the website FreeBenAndJerrys.com on Tuesday, Sept. 16. The 74-year-old Long Island native created Ben & Jerry's with Ben Cohen back in 1978. Gubernatorial hopeful Wes Moore is looking to make history after reportedly earning the nod in the Democratic primary for governor in Maryland.
